It’s Friday, so you know what that means…Dress it up! Dress it up! Dress it up! As we’ve discussed in the past, a nice white blouse is a key essential in any glam gal’s wardrobe. You can dress it up or down. But you know how we do on Understand The Glam…we’re going to say it with me, “DRESS IT UP!” You got it! :-)

I love the style of high collars on a blouse as it adds another level of chicness to your look. Since white isn’t a bold color, one may think you can’t use it to make an outfit pop. However, if you wear it against very dark colors such as the turquoise and black cropped pants featured above, you can really accentuate the pants. These pants are hot! So I let them be the focal point of the outfit. I kept the shoes and accessories black, white and silver, and tied the turquoise color of the pants in with the eyeshadow.

High Fashion Fridays – High Waisted Pants

Happy High Fashion Friday Glam World!

In usual Friday fashion we dress it up, not down! Lately I have been in love with high waisted pants. They provide a classy retro look that you don’t see often with mostly all pants now hitting below the waist within the past 7-8 years. When I do find a nice pair of high waisted pants; I attack them, look around to see if anyone saw me and then run to the dressing room to try them on. I know what a rare gem these are nowadays. I like to pair them with a tucked in pussy bow blouse or a fitted turtle neck. Also, I’ll let in you on a little secret….high waisted pants with a fitted top makes your breast look bigger as they sit beneath your chest and make your breast the focal point! ;-)

High Fashion Fridays – Dress Up Those Jeans!

Happy High Fashion Friday Glam World!

As you know on Fridays I like to dress it up, not down.  A great way to keep it casual yet glam is with black coated jeans. It’s the comfortable fit of a stretch jean while taking it up a notch with the coating material. This effect makes it look like black leather and I’m loving that. Oh yeah! From there throw on some fierce booties, a hot fur or faux fur jacket, and some dark shades and you will have people addressing you by Ms. (insert last name) instead of by your first. ;-) And don’t forget your statement bag. The bigger the better!
